First Sleepover

There is a little boy that lives down our street, Carter, that both of the boys really get a long well with. They have been begging for months to have a sleepover. Finally, I gave in and I invited Carter to spend the night on Wednesday. I told the boys about it that morning and used it for leverage for good behavior all day. It worked. :) They had hot dogs, apples and pretzels for dinner then played boy things until bed time. (By boys things, I mean games I over heard being called "Knock ourselves out" and "You are my robot") I made a bed on the floor in their room, set up an old TV and DVD player on their nightstand and let them watch "Happy Feet" and eat popcorn. They had a blast!
Ryleigh wanted to get in on the fun and I finally had to put her to bed because she was stepping all over them. As you can see, they are trying to see around her to watch the movie.
The movie ended around 9:00 p.m. and I told them it was time to try and go to sleep. I knew they wouldn't, but I thought as the mom I should say it. :) They giggled and giggled until after 11:00 p.m. But, they were really good, I didn't have to tell them to stay in the room and only had to tell them to try and giggle a little quieter a few times. They demonstrated to me their idea of a quiet giggle and I approved. :)Finally asleep! I thought for sure that they would sleep in since they went to bed so late. I was really hoping they would since I didn't go to bed until after midnight and I was up with Ryleigh in the middle of the night for over an hour. But, no such luck. At 6:30 a.m. they were up and ready to go. By 6:45 a.m. they were all dressed and asking for breakfast. :( I gave them a snack and told them I wasn't cooking until Ryleigh woke up. :)
Finally breakfast! Enjoying pancakes. Then we headed to the pool for the afternoon, but after just a short time there, they called L5 (lightening with in 5 miles) and we had to leave. I think they made a good memory and I am sure we will be doing it again soon!

Happy 20th Birthday Ashleigh Jean!!

Ashleigh was my little buddy growing up. I remember putting her to bed and having to "tickle" her back for her to fall asleep.

Ashleigh, Sarah and Megan in their Easter dresses. I love this photo!

Ashleigh and Jason's sister Lydia, came out to visit us our last summer in CA. Ashleigh LOVED California and I remember when Ash was packing up to go home she said "I am going to really miss being here." I said "Ash, we will be moving back east in just a few months, we will get to see you all the time." She said "I didn't mean I was going to miss you, I meant I was going to miss California!" It's a big joke now! :) Liz, Sean, Joe and Ashleigh when they helped us move into our Shrewsbury house.

Ashleigh you have been fun to be around since you were little. You can always make us laugh and I love having you around. I have enjoyed all the many times you have come and stayed with me since I have been married. From helping me get ready for Aiden's first birthday party, to staying weeks down here during some lonely for me times when Jason was working a lot. So many great memories! I look forward to tons more. You are loved by every member of this family. Today when I was calling you, Kyle asked me who I was calling. I told him Aunt Ashleigh and he said "I yuve Aunt Asherleigh, she is so nice." I think we all feel the same way. I am proud of you and the direction you are taking in life. I am so glad you are my sister. :)
We love you,
Jason, Erin , Aiden, Kyle and Ryleigh

Time for Cake!

Ryleigh's big cake, which she managed to stick her fingers in and mess up before the party even started. She also had her own "smash cake". You will see that she thoroughly enjoyed smashing and smearing it. I think she got a bite or two.Walking around at her party. Enjoying being the center of attention.Ryleigh is super friendly, especially when you have food. She climbed up on our friend Donald's lap and ate all his food. :)Some of the party.Family photo. The boys blew out her candle for her. As you can see, she was not too sure about the candle. Love Kyle's checks!Getting started. At first she acted like she didn't know what to do. But, it didn't take her long to figure it out.Look at her eyes!!!!Nose dive!
A very mess and happy birthday girl. The kids eating cake.Time for a bath. All clean and ready for presents.

She LOVED these sunglasses. She would put them on and make the funniest faces.

Happy Birthday Aunt Debbie!!

1982 1984 with AlexChristmas 97' at Mom's house

Christmas 05'
May 06'

Happy Birthday Aunt Debbie!! We hope you had a great day and I wish we were close enough so we could go on one of our girl birthday lunches!! I have learned a lot from you over the years and I know our whole family thinks you are special. You are generous and thoughtful, always finding little gifts for everyone that fit them so perfectly. (like all my blue dishes!) I am so glad you are part of our family and my life. Uncle Jeff, Alex and Ryan are lucky to have you as a wife and mom. We love you!
Love, Erin, Jason, Aiden, Kyle and Ryleigh

Happy Birthday Caitie!!

Caitie with Aiden in 05'. He had a serious crush on her that year and said that she was his girlfriend!

Ash and Cait, Christmas 06'. This was after Caitie had driven all over Perry and surrounding counties to find another Halo game so we could play with two X-boxes. That pretty much sums up Caitie, she will go to great lengths for others and wants to make everyone happy.

Kyle, Caitie and Aiden - April 05' when Liz, Joe and Cait brought Aiden home from Mom's and stayed the weekend.
Happy Birthday Caitie!! We hope you are having a great day! Wish we could be there to celebrate with you. Maybe next year you and Ryleigh can have a party together! :) We love you Caitie and think you put up with the crazy Aguilars very well! Thanks for always helping out with the boys (even if it is buying them candy and giving them a sugar high - hehe) or running to the store when someone needs something.
Lots of love, Erin, Jason, Aiden, Kyle and Ryleigh

On a boat with Daddy

Jason brought home his old John-boat last time we were up in PA, and he and the boys have been going out in it about once a week. Jason said at first they were a little scared of being on the water, but got over that fear and now love it. Aiden keeps talking about getting the "big bass". They will call me on the way home and give me all the details. Aiden will say "I am the only one that got a bite today." or "Daddy caught a fish, but he let me reel it in." or "I really want to catch a catfish." I have a feeling they are going to grow up to be outdoors men like their Daddy. The last two times they have been to this pond they have seen a 10 foot alligator. The last time they went it came right up to their boat, so they are not going back there again! The mother protective instinct in me had a hard time letting them go out of a boat in the first place, the alligator story does not help matters. Jason is on the hunt for a bass boat, so I am sure this is just the beginning of many times on the water with Daddy!

Catching tad poles.
